Mandatory Training Requirements

Continuing Education Course for the 2026 Performance Year

Supervisors who have completed their Mandatory Training Requirements are required to complete annual Continuing Education. This year, supervisors have multiple options to meet that requirement—allowing them to choose the learning experience that best fits their role, schedule, and development goals.

The following courses will satisfy the CPTP Continuing Education requirement under the Mandatory Supervisory Training Requirements.

Web-Based Training

  • SCS CPTP How to Stay Relevant – This web-based training focuses on strengthening your effectiveness as a supervisor in an evolving workplace.

Instructor-Led Training - Log in to SuccessFactors to view course dates and to register.

  • SCS CPTP Performance Planning & Evaluation – This instructor-led course builds practical skills for setting goals, managing performance, and navigating the evaluation process.
  • SCS CPTP Leadership Academy Virtual Events - These live, interactive sessions explore key leadership topics and provide opportunities to learn from experts and peers across state service.

During the Performance Year (1/1/26 – 12/31/26), the courses above will impart two completions. One completion imparted is the one for the course itself. The second completion imparted is the CPTP Continuing Education completion (designated on learning histories as SCS CPTP Continuing Education 2026). It is this completion that is used to track compliance with the continuing education requirement.

The continuing education completion will only be imparted beginning January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026. If the course is taken prior to January 1, 2026, the learner will only receive the course completion and not the continuing education completion. CPTP will not add continuing education completions for learners who completed the course prior to January 1, 2026.
