Subject: Civil Service Announces Launch of
Redesigned Web Site

The Department of State Civil
Service is pleased to announce the launch of its redesigned internet web site.
The new web site has been redesigned as “portal” based which allows the user to
select the type of content to be displayed depending on their unique
needs. Visitors to the web site can now
select from one of four categories – Job Seekers, State Employees, Human
Resource Professionals, or Workforce Planning Resources (for supervisors and
managers). This portal based design allows for content to be customized to best
serve the needs of the particular type of user.
The new web site is scheduled to be
launched on Tuesday, December 11th. The address remains the same (www.civilservice.la.gov) and
visitors will be directed to the new web site. Because the technology used to
develop the new web site has changed, visitors will have to reestablish
bookmarks for pages within the site that were previously bookmarked.
